Debbie and Bob Caisley are proud and delighted to announce that Wheel House Gite holiday cottage in France is open for business!
Wheel House Gite is the result of hard work and determination to see through our project for our retirement. After experiencing full-time, long working days in the UK, we are feeling ready now to enjoy our newly-renovated project, and invite you to have a look at our pretty holiday cottage in France; a little gem of a place just waiting to receive its guests.
The gite has been our home for the past twelve months, while we continued with the ongoing renovation of our permanent house in the pretty, quiet village of Vauce, located in the calm, largely agricultural department of the Mayenne in northern France. We have moved out now, into our gorgeous house, and have readied our lovely gite for guests.
What you can expect from our holiday cottage in France
Wheel House Gite is a comfortable holiday cottage in France suitable for parties of up to four people. Arranged over two floors, the holiday cottage has a downstairs family bathroom, open-plan living space and two beautiful bedrooms on the top floor, reached by a beautifully restored wooden winding staircase. The bedroom area also incorporates a comfortable seating area, perfect for holiday naps and quiet escapes. With two large velux windows in the roof, the natural light is glorious during the daylight hours.
The outside spaces are easy to enjoy, with two seating areas – one ideal for breakfast or morning coffee, is right outside the front door on a gravel patio – and the other is located in the large garden, complete with barbecue. The breakfast area is private, for exclusive guest usage, and the garden is shared, but only with the owners, who look forward to meeting you.
Alfie, our little dog, lives here too, but he is small, friendly and loves a bit of fuss. He is not left to roam freely, and will not disturb our guests, nor leave ‘gifts’ for them to collect!
This is our first year with Wheel House Gite, and we look forward to welcoming you to our dream holiday cottage in France.
We plan to open our doors all-year-round and will accept a minimum booking of just one night*. Perfect for stopovers if you are travelling further south and need a rest! The gite is kept warm and cosy by a full installation of oil-fired central heating with radiators in every room.
*One night stays are available upon request and are strictly subject to availability and a modest cleaning fee.
Give us a call and talk to us today about your plans for your holiday in France. We look forward to hearing from you 🙂
